Mrs. Indiana 2007 Becomes Indiana's First Female MMA Promoter
(PRWEB) December 30, 2009
Danielle Vale, named Mrs. Indiana 2007, has traded in her pageant days for full contact fighting. She has become the first ever licensed female MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) promoter in the history of the state of Indiana.
Vale is used to being center stage but this type of scrutiny will be different. Her company Hoosier Fight Club Promotions hosted the state of Indiana’s first ever MMA sanctioned event. HFC 2 “It’s On” was held at the Horseshoe Casino on January 2, 2010. The fight card featured fighters with UFC, WEC and IFL experience as well as premier local fighters.
Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest growing sports both domestically and internationally with televised UFC (Ultimate Fighting Champion) events drawing well over a million paid viewers. In fact in a recent USA Today Poll fans selected MMA as the “breakout sport” of the decade.

Vale’s vision was to give the MMA fans in Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area a top quality show that would meet fan expectations yet at a reasonable price. “Not everyone has the opportunity to attend a UFC, WEC or Strikeforce event, so my goal is to give them that experience right here in Indiana,” states Vale.
When asked why she chose MMA, “I thought it was a natural progression to go from make-up and an evening gown on a stage to blood and sweat in a cage” she jokes.
“I love the sport. I realized that if I wanted to be a female force in MMA I would have to do it from outside the cage. I ‘m 20 years too old and 20 pounds to light to make an impact within those walls.”
