Meet Terry "Da Brick" House
Terry House ended his amateur career on a high note by defeating Marcus Jones at the Duneland Classic this July. "Da Brick" ended with a record of 12-5.
Now its on to bigger and better things. Terry will be tested for the first time as a professional fighter as he takes on Bobby Emmons.

- What led to your decision to turn pro? Turning pro was my ultimate goal when I started this. I ended my ammy career on a hot streak, defeated all high level ammys, the time was perfect. There’s no turning back now.
- How has this training camp been going? By far, my best training camp. I give all the credit to my coaches, Nick Wayne, John Kolosci, Eddie Wineland and my teammates at LA Boxing. I think they’re more excited about my pro debut than I am.
- Give us your thoughts on the Match-Up with Bobby Emmons. I love the matchup with me and Bobby Emmons. The kids’ tough as nails, I’m sure he’s training hard. I’m looking forward to the match-up.
- Has your preparation for this fight been any different than in the past? I’ve been working double time on my submission defense. It seems to be his bread and butter. But, I gotta few tricks up my sleeve as well and I’m excited to see whats gonna happen come August 20th.
- How did you get your cage name? I got the name “Brick House” cause that’s what my fists fell like… Bricks!
- What has been your biggest fighting accomplishment? Fighting itself! When I decided to start training MMA I had very little support. All I got was negative feedback. That was my motivation. One of the greatest pleasures in life is doing what people say you can’t. And now here I am, making my pro-debut at HFC 8…Take that bitches!
- In your last fight, you fought in honor of your late brother…tell us what that meant to you. I got the call about the fight and when I saw the date I was a little skeptical cause it was a year to the day of his passing, and my family was having a memorial service that day. I wasn’t sure if I’s be there mentally but my family rallied behind me, basically made me the fight. We celebrated his life earlier that day and then celebrated my second round knockout later that night! R.I.P. Robert Cooper.
- What can we expect from Terry House in the future? All I can say is remember the name Terry “Da Brick” House.
- Any predictions for the fight? Pain………………………..
- Tell us something about T-House that would surprise us. Me and my fiancé make dates to sit and watch pretty little liars. I watch it faithfully every Tuesday.
- Who would you love to punch in the face? I would absolutely love to slap comedian Kevin Hart. Just because he stole the saying “Kill Yo Self” from me!! And nobody believes me because he’s famous already.
