ATTORNEYS WHO FIGHT...FOR YOU!
1. What stands out the most form the HFC fights?HFC 1, THE NATIONAL ANTHEM BEING PLAYED ON THE ELECTRIC GUUITAR. Looking around and seeing so many familiar faces and friends at the first show. I traveled around the world with my father while he served in the Air Force 22 years and Todd served as well in the Army. Now, every show when I hear the “electric anthem” start, you can literally feel the electricity in the room in anticipation for the fights.
2. Why did Bockman and Olson decide to get involved with Hoosier Fight Club?
We have always been fans of MMA and to have an opportunity to be associated with a local organization such as HFC was an easy decision for us. Being able to follow the local fighters and see their progression from show to show makes this sport even more interesting.
3. What impresses you the most about the sport?
We never knew the complete dedication and work ethic needed to compete in MMA. After getting to know some of the fighters, we admire them, the amount of time and sacrifices they make to compete at this level is amazing.
4. What are some of your most memorable moments with HFC?
A couple of our personal favorites would be HFC 3, when Ralph Nurse fought his first fight, even though he didn’t leave with a victory, he fought his heart out and put on the fight of the night in our opinion. John Kolosci’s fight against Luigi Fiorvanti in HFC 4 was a special moment as well. Outdoors, at night, at the SteelYard just made for a memorable moment, the atmosphere and crowd, we can still picture John with his arms raised while standing on the top of the cage.
5. Who are some of your favorite local fighters?
Nick Wayne, Terry House, Jake Rosenbaum and Aaron Noel to name a few. All of the local fighters we have gotten to know through HFC and LA Boxing have not only been great fighters but great people. We couldn’t leave out Eddie Wineland, if Eddie’s fighting you don’t know what to expect, but you know something exciting is going to happen, he’s just explosive.
6. Are there any similarities between MMA and the legal field?
There are many similarities. It takes hard work, patience and dedication to do things the right way. In a fight or in a courtroom the outcome most times is decided in the training or preparation done the months or years before. We have been in legal battles that have lasted years, and after hundreds of hours of work we finally get the outcome for our clients we had been fighting for all along. Fighters train for months for a fight that lasts a matter of minutes. You need passion to be successful in either.
7. Tell the HFC fans about your practice…
Our areas of practice include traffic, criminal and personal injury. Our traffic law covers everything from a minor traffic ticket to serious driving offenses such as drunk driving. We also assist clients with obtaining a valid license and cleaning up driving records. Our criminal law case load consists of all misdemeanors and felonies. Our personal injury practice covers everything from minor car collisions to catastrophic injury cases to wrongful death cases. We take pride in assisting our clients through difficult life situations and protect their rights. We are always available to discuss any matter and if it is an area of law we do not handle we can assist you in finding someone who can help. Our practice is primarily in Lake and Porter counties.
8. Why Hoosier Fight Club?
